We do not have an hourly rate as we choose to charge our clients for bespoke services rather than for time. We believe this offers better value to our customers as it guarantees that they will receive the service they agreed to by the end of the project. A project charged for by the hour could continue to run up costs for the client if it takes longer than initially predicted.
If you don’t have the necessary software on your device we recommend using smallpdf.com/sign-pdf to complete and sign any digital documents we send you. This is an easy to use tool that enables you to directly edit PDFs in your web browser. You can add text boxes to fill in any required information and write your signature.
All of our websites are designed and built using WordPress. WordPress is an open source content management software that is constantly growing from strength to strength. The community of developers and designers that use WordPress reaches far and wide. This means we can access a broad range of collective knowledge and bring a wealth of experience to our projects. The wide use and versatility of WordPress allows us to develop flexible and customisable websites to modern standards and web development best practices. It is estimated that over a third of all websites use WordPress, this is a testament to its reliability and quality.
We charge an additional fee for changes and additions made to websites after they have been considered to have been completed. This includes adding new pages, amending content, implementing new features and making alterations to the design.
As a courtesy we may complete what could be considered small but essential amendments for free. These are infrequent and often unavoidable changes that may occur as your business evolves and could include updating your opening hours, changing your contact details, adding a clause to your terms and conditions, or removing a page that is no longer needed.
The landscape of web browsers and devices changes frequently and our approach is to look forward and not back. With that in mind we tend to test our websites using modern browsers and devices.
Users of older or less capable browsers or devices will experience a design that is appropriate to the capabilities of their software, and this may differ to the experience offered when using more modern technology.
We do not test using old or abandoned browsers, can’t predict the behaviour of these browsers, and don’t cater for those using them. If you need us to consider older browsers please let us know but be aware that there may be an extra charge for additional design work, development and testing.
When, where, and for what you appear on Google for depends on a number of factors. It can depend on the search phrase being used, the user’s location, the device they are using, the number of other websites that are available, the age of your website domain, along with various other factors.
Nobody can truly predict or guarantee your website’s search engine ranking (including those who work for search engines). Despite this there are a number of factors that can improve your chances. You can talk to us if you would like to discuss this further.
Our websites are hosted on the Google Cloud. Google are known for maintaining one of the fastest and most powerful networks using the latest modern hardware with SSD persistent storage.
Our hosting provider comes officially recommended by WordPress, the content management system we use to build all our websites.
Our hosting platform automatically takes daily backups of websites. These backups are then stored for 30 days meaning if required we can restore a version of a website from any day in the past month.
The backups are stored on remote servers separate from where the websites are hosted. This means that on the extremely unlikely event something happens to the location the websites are hosted, we should be able to restore full backups from elsewhere.
We’re proud to say that our hosting partner matches 100% of the energy consumed by their global operations with renewable energy and maintains a commitment to carbon neutrality.
